Dear Gypsy,

Thank you for speaking out against the Grand Canyon Escalade.

Over 100,000 people joined you in opposing this shortsighted development proposal, amplifying our message of protecting the Grand Canyon.

But, this is just the beginning...

Since the petition was launched just two weeks ago, two more tribal leaders - Navajo President Russell Begaye and Hopi Chairman Herman Honanie - have reiterated their opposition against the proposal in the press and in their respective tribal councils. We've got momentum! That's great news.
Help protect our National treasure.

While we wait for the legislation to make its way through the Council, there are members of the Navajo Nation working to ensure it never sees the light of day. They must hear our voices of support.

"I want to thank all of my friends for signing the petition so far! The Grand Canyon is Sacred ground. I don't have to tell you how much I have a passionate heart for her. I fell in love the moment I saw her face:) Writers Artists, and photographers have been drawn to her mystique for centuries. And still are today. It is the beauty of nature, that reminds us all of who we really are as human beings. Please protect this awesome and ancient vault for future generations to enjoy the serene comfort that we all have had the privilege of, in our lifetime. Let us not let it slip through our fingers. Please help us stop the destruction of our planet. Let's begin here ... with the Grand Canyon.

"If this is a good enough place for you to get involved then ... I encourage friends and community members and tourists throughout the world to join by signing the petition, too. Just click on the link above, of which is underlined and is just beneath the heading at the top of this page. The link that is underlined says, "
